China Warns EU “Russia Must Not Lose In Ukraine”, Zelensky Talks Stronger Air Defense With Trump |4K

Chinese foreign minister has told EU’s top diplomat that Beijing did not want to see a Russian loss in Ukraine, as per a South China Morning Post report citing sources. Wang Yi reportedly argued that if Russia ends up on the losing side, the US would then shift its whole focus to Beijing, the report said. The Chinese top diplomat made the remarks during a marathon four-hour debate on a wide range of geopolitical and commercial grievances. However, Wang is said to have rejected the accusation that China was materially supporting Russia’s war effort, financially or militarily. Some EU officials involved were surprised by the frankness of Wang’s remarks, as per the report. Meanwhile, during the meeting in Brussels, Yi allegedly gave Kaja Kallas several “history lessons and lectures”, the SCMP report noted. Some EU officials felt he was giving her a lesson in realpolitik, two officials said as per SCMP. A part of Wang Yi speech to Kallas focused on Beijing’s belief that Washington would soon turn its full attention eastward. Analysts say that Wang’s statement suggests that prolonged war may suit Beijing’s strategic needs, as long as the US remains engaged in Ukraine. n18oc_world n18oc_crux0:00 INTRODUCTION2:30 KREMLIN REACTS TO TRUMP’S “DISAPPOINTMENT”5:30 GERMANY SECRETLY SEEKS US WEAPONS FOR KYIV?
